Relaxation Day • Restorative Yoga Class

Restorative Yoga Class

Why practice Restorative Yoga?

While the challenges that naturally arise in an active life can build strength, resilience, and confidence, a critical ingredient to that growth is easy to forget: recovery time.

You need to grow, evolve, improve and up-skill, BUT you also need the flip side; you need to rest.

It allows you to recover fully from the stresses and strains of life, by relaxing muscles, lowering your heart rate, and allowing your nervous system to stop constantly reacting.

Restorative yoga deeply relaxes the body so the nervous system becomes balanced, the mind is able to engage in our daily lives with improved powers of attention and concentration.

Over time, this body- based mindfulness practice helps us to gain a better perspective when times are challenging.

A restorative yoga class will leave you feeling more relaxed, but also more focused and effective in your day.

Restorative yoga *is in fact better than sleep for releasing tense muscles & relieving joint aches.*improves sleep.*and transitioning the mind and body quickly from stress to calm. *it also teaches conscious control of relaxation.

When we support our body in asanas, the experience is that our whole life feels supported. When emotionally supported you can really let go, a lot of grief requires letting go.

Restore yoga is a conscious, recuperative method of active rest it is more powerful than passive rest. It awakens the hidden latent energy for reconstruction and recuperation.
