Backbends 

Well functioning feet, support well functioning legs, pelvis, spine and head.

This backbend sequence starts with the poses Virasana and Malasana. These two poses support the functioning of your feet, and I recommend you practice them regularly.

As you practice the backbends feel how the extension of the insteps, feed into the extension of the spine. Feel how the width of the feet feed into the width of the back.

Virasana, Malasana, Virabhrasana 1, Hip Flexor stretch, Backbend over block, Ustrasana, Udhva Dhanurasana over chair, Chatush Padasana, Leg stretch and Svasana.

thin block, 2 cork blocks, bolster, yoga chair,  1 or 2 blankets.
